Again, a hearty happy New Year.. (2011-12)

The New Year 2011 has been gifting me Some precious moments of my Life.. And, again it's time for me to wish my lovely readers a beautiful New Year. "My hearty happy New Year wishes for the whole Commerce fraternity..". A thought nictates through my mind when I make this wish to U. On the 31st March night, I made the same as texts to my friends. I also sent them to my Science friends. A reply I got for that was like this.
"You Commerce fraternity is bad; U Celebrate new year on April fool.:-)"
I loved that tease, but I must have a kick-back, it's matter of all we Commerce students, isn't it.. I replied "Interesting.. but, what shall we do, Some fools celebrate it as their day." The next reply came in a minute, no need to tell it was another teaser. That chat went on teaing each other.  After that, I thought a bit about Science students. I Strongly feel that there is a significant diversity in the thoughts of Science & Commerce students. Some of the theories in Commerce are indigestible for a pure Scientific thinker. Also, from some views of my Science friends (though directly they didn't tell me), I felt that they strongly feel that Commerce gives more importance to money than that to the mankind. This is a post meant for clarifying the fact and just for telling them the importance of Commerce professionals.

First, Let me quote a phrase we used to hear from Venu Sir, Our Management Guru. "The man who discovered electricity was Great, but his greatness would have been worthless without the man who found 'electric meter' ". This theory may be a bit unpleasant for a Science student. But, please give me a chance to explain what I know. We all know that electricity is a very vital element for the present world. Obviously, it's the life blood of the Industrial world. It's a request from me not to take it in an emotional sense. Just think practically, think U are the One who discovered electricity, of course U know, it has a great potential for satisfying the needs of the Society. But, how will U provide that facility to the public at an affordable rate.? how will U meet at least the cost of its production.?? How will U be regaining the huge funds U took from banks for setting up the production unit.? How will U accommodate the employees  U took for salary.??

Yes, the discovery of 'electric meter' gives you the Solution all in a go..! It gives U confidence that there is a mean for profitably providing it to the mankind. Also, electric meter too is not the perfect Solution for U'r problem. There are brains of Commerce which stay always aware of Ideas which keeps U'r efforts efficient and working. It's not all about money. But, Money is a stimulant which keeps a business going, and a business is the art of providing Services to the mankind in the most effective & efficient manner. A businessman takes a small margin from the income as the reward for the efforts & risks he has undertaken himself in providing those Services to the mankind. It gives you the support as big MNCs who invest tremendous amounts and pays U too for U'r Skills & efforts. I will Never say Commerce is greater than Science. But for Sure, I can't tell its of lesser importance than Science. The thought I have always believed and lived with is that "Science is the vitality of mankind, whereas, Commerce is the necessity of the Society.!"

Hope you enjoyed this post too.. There are 2 other posts awaiting U in my mind. U can expect them Soon.. For now, Take Care..

  1. In response to this, may I remind you about the story of blind men and the elephant. The moral of the story is that there may be some truth to what someone says. Sometimes we can see that truth and sometimes not because they may have different perspective which we may not agree too. So, rather than arguing like the blind men, we should say, "Maybe you have your reasons." This way we don’t get in arguments. In Jainism, it is explained that truth can be stated in seven different ways. It teaches us to be tolerant towards others for their viewpoints. This allows us to live in harmony with the people of different thinking. This is known as the Syadvada, Anekantvad, or the theory of Manifold Predictions.

  2. I welcome U'r view.. Dear Sarath, I never told U'r point of view is not right. I was just trying to sketch U what my perspective is. As I told U before, it's just my point of view. May be it's right may be wrong.
Thanks a lot for the Comment, dear.

  3. does it mean that the invention of electricity would have been lost if the elctric meter wasn't found..
    i certainly can't favour that.
people would have still used electricity even if no such meter was made.

and in the matter of distributing it on large scale, some other measures would be adopted- like Govt funding it through public taxes.

i consider it worthless to even mention the person who found the electric meter in the same sentence with the inventor of electricity.

(actually there is lot of controversy regarding who is the inventor of electricity :D)

however its good to see your blog posts..
